    Would noalgi be recommend in a new cycling tank or after a tank has cycled?

    No, Nualgi should be dosed after you introduce fish and coral into your tank. Nualgi produces diatoms that are consumed by zooplankton and zooplankton are consumed by fish. So if you have no fish, coral or zooplankton in your tank then Nualgi will cause excess nutrients.
